ELECTION PROTECTION ELECTION WEEK
We’re going all out. Are you looking for an alternative to canvassing but still want to make a difference? Join Common Power in Detroit. Drive voters to the polls, do a shift at a polling site, and ballot cure after Election Day to make sure every vote count. We’re working directly with the campaign and State Party to plug into volunteering opportunities in Michigan.
We’re Looking For
DRIVERS - to drive voters to the polls on E-day.
POLL GREETERS - take shifts on E-day at the polling site.
IN-PERSON BALLOT CURE VOLUNTEERS - stay in MI after E-Day to find voters, cure their ballots, and make their vote count.
What This Trip Looks Like?
You can join us for any time between 11/2 and 11/7. Travel to MI on Monday (11/2), or earlier, if you want to do poll greeting and drive people to the polls on 11/3, Election Day. Make sure you’re ready to hit doors on 11/4 if you want to ballot cure. MI requires ballots to be cured by 11/7 so we will be working hard to do in-person ballot cures from 11/4-11/6.
We will working with the campaign and State Party for volunteer opportunities. Common Power will organize driving people to the polls ourselves.
If you want to canvass before Election Day and also do Election Protection work, Common Power has a team of volunteer in Detroit canvassing from 10/29-11/3. See more here.
