Volunteer in a State Team

We do this work together in community and in Teams.

Join a State Team and…

  • be a part of a larger volunteer community and share tips, tricks, stories, and laughter

  • stay up to date about travel and opportunities to work remotely or in-person with other volunteers

In this odd election year, Virginia is where it’s at. We are also organizing GOTV action in Eastern Washington.

Virginia is where it’s at

Every seat in the VA State Legislature is up for re-election and Virginia district maps were re-drawn this year. We need to get people to the polls and get out the vote!

Talk to voters in Virginia Beach and Richmond

We are taking doorknocking trips to Virginia Beach and Richmond for the November General Election.

  • Virginia Beach, VA - October 26-October 30

  • Richmond, VA - October 31 - November 8

Learn more about what’s at stake here. Election Day is November 7th. Let’s go!

We partner with New Virginia Majority on the ground and plug into their GOTV efforts. NVM is one of our longest and strongest partners (since 2019!). Learn more about NVM and CP’s partnership philosophy.

 GOTV in Eastern WA!

Poder Común ("Common Power" in Spanish) is a bilingual CP program built to educate and register Spanish-speaking voters in disenfranchised communities.

Poder Común is organizing weekend trips in WA to Yakima, Sunnyside, and Spokane in support of candidates in mayoral, council, and school board races. We are partnering with various organizations including Poder Latinx, Ella and Conservative Action, and Nuestra Casa to make sure residents, predominantly BIPOC/Latinx voters know the General election is coming up!

Winning these local offices will increase representation for the Latinx community and drive Eastern Washington in a more progressive direction.

Why Eastern Washington?

  1. Lisa Brown is running for Mayor of Spokane to turn the seat blue and address important issues in the community she has been working with for over thirty years.

  2. In Yakima, we are supporting Dulce Guitierez, a former City Council member who is passionate about social justice and fighting for the disenfranchised communities.

  3. We are investing our time and resources to support a slate of three first-time Latinx runners, Karen Vazquez, Jorge Galvan, and Vicky Frausto.

We have an opportunity to make a real change in Eastern Washington, with your help.
