At a time when Virginia needs steady, unifying leadership, Abigail Spanberger rises to the moment. Her track record in Congress shows she can work across differences, build consensus, and deliver real results for Virginians. Now, she is leading a strong, diverse statewide ticket alongside Ghazala Hashmi for Lieutenant Governor and Jay Jones for Attorney General—a team committed to strengthening Virginia’s schools, protecting fundamental rights, and building a more affordable and inclusive future for everyone.
Abigail’s ability to bring people together stands in sharp contrast to the weak, divisive leadership offered by Winsome Sears and the GOP slate. While her opponents traffic in partisanship and division, Abigail is charting a path forward that unites Virginians around shared priorities. Her leadership and vision will serve as an example for strong, collaborative leadership nationwide.

A lifelong educator and dedicated public servant, Ghazala Hashmi has spent her career fighting for the people—long before stepping into the VA State Senate during the first Trump Administration. Since 2019, Ghazala has been on the front lines. From defending voting rights and reproductive freedom to advocating for affordable housing and educational equity, she has never backed down in the face of MAGA extremism.
In the Democratic primary, Ghazala secured a hard-fought victory by a margin of 3,576 votes, a testament to the urgency of this race and the strength of her grassroots support. We are proud to be heading into the general election once again supporting her bold and principled leadership.

James has dedicated his career to building stronger, fairer, and more resilient communities. From his decade of service as Chief of Staff to Congressman Gerry Connolly to his leadership on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, he has consistently delivered results that improve the lives of Virginians. James has championed expanding access to health care, defending reproductive freedom, protecting immigrant rights, and passing common-sense gun safety measures. His commitment to climate action, public education, and supporting working families reflects the values we need in Congress.

District 41 is a part of Virginia’s rural population that is hard to win for Democrats, and Lilly Franklin is the candidate who can flip this district. Lilly Franklin grew up in rural Virginia, was a teacher in Appalachia, and has been fighting for those in rural Virginia. Lilly is able to advance progressive values for rural Virginians in a way that many can’t. Lilly Franklin previously ran for this seat in 2023, and lost this seat by less than 200 votes. This year’s race will be just as tight and we will be making the difference in this fight.

Michael Feggans is running for re-election for the Virginia House of Delegates, a seat that he won by a little more than 1,000 votes in 2023 with the help of Common Power. Michael is a veteran who is a strong advocate of public schools and women’s reproductive rights, and has proven to fight for his constituents in his current term. We’re returning to support Michael Feggans because the Democratic party has a slim majority in the Virginia House of Delegate and we need to defend it.

Nicole Cole is running in District 66, a District that has been controlled by Republicans for more than 10 years. Nicole is a strong advocate for education and affordable housing in Virginia, and has spent the last 15 years trying to improve both in Virginia.
2025 has brought on a year of change for the Democrats, with many Democrats flipping Republican seats in statewide elections, and the trend can continue in District 66. The last Democrat to run for this seat lost by less than 3,000 votes. This highly contested seat is vital for the Democrats to have a blue sweep in Virginia this fall. -
In a highly contested race, May stands out as the more progressive candidate—championing reproductive rights, advocating for gun violence prevention, and promoting a more equitable economy. Just as importantly, she has earned the endorsement of our trusted partner at New Virginia Majority, whose deep-rooted knowledge of Virginia politics and long-term vision for justice and equity in the state align closely with ours. They believe May Nivar is the leader who can help bring that vision to life—and so do we.

Mikie’s career has been defined by service—first as a Navy helicopter pilot, then as a federal prosecutor, and now as a leader in Congress. In a time of growing threats to essential rights and protections, New Jersey needs a Governor who will hold the line for its people. New Jersey is quickly becoming one of the most unaffordable states in the country, and the most dense. Mikie is making housing a priority for her term.
Mikie has consistently stood up for New Jersey families, whether it’s lowering costs, protecting reproductive freedom, or securing major infrastructure investments like the Gateway Tunnel Project. Her work to defend Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and public schools shows her commitment to safeguarding the programs and values New Jersey residents rely on.

Zohran’s primary victory was nothing short of historic. Against millions of dollars poured in by billionaires and MAGA-aligned interests, he ran a grassroots campaign that connected deeply with voters—especially young people. His win is a testament to his understanding of how to engage communities, speak to their priorities, and organize a movement that reflects the real needs of New Yorkers. In a political climate dominated by money and power, Zohran showed that genuine connection and bold vision can still win.
Zohran is not a typical candidate—and that’s part of why his success matters. His victory has sparked national conversations about who is considered a “viable” candidate for office, challenging the status quo and expanding what’s possible in electoral politics. By unapologetically advocating for rent freezes, fare-free transit, affordable childcare, and raising wages, Zohran is shifting the debate toward policies that directly address the affordability crisis. His candidacy is more than a race for mayor—it’s a movement for a New York City that works for everyone, and a model for how transformative campaigns can inspire and mobilize voters nationwide.

Adelita’s story is Southern Arizona’s story. Born and raised on Tucson’s south side, she has spent her life working to make sure every family has the opportunity to thrive. Whether it was fighting to expand preschool so more kids could start school ready to succeed, defending Mexican-American Studies and bilingual education from political attacks, or championing affordable housing and climate action as Chair of the Pima County Board of Supervisors, Adelita has led with heart, determination, and a deep commitment to her community.
Adelita has a track record of bringing people together to solve problems. In Congress, she will continue that work—defending Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and veterans’ services, protecting our rights and freedoms, investing in public education, and standing up for humane immigration policies. She’s ready to take Southern Arizona’s values to Washington and fight.

Common Power is showing up for next generation leadership in this special election for US House. We have an opportunity to pull Texas as much as we can to the left with a decidedly blue seat. Gerrymandering shenanigans in the state means these blue strongholds have to be the sanctuaries that they need to be for Texans across the state. Christian is the candidate to do this.

Katie Wilson's got something no other Seattle mayoral candidate has right now: the combination of a progressive policy platform and the people power that will help her win. She's focused on affordability with specific deliverables in housing, homelessness, and investing in business centers beyond Downtown. Katie understands that Seattle enjoys protections and rights that many other citizens in the country lack, all of which are threatened under the Trump administration. She's not going to take what we have for granted and she'll fight to protect our city.
We're backing her for other reasons too. Her campaign is people powered in funding and volunteering.Katie has maxxed out on Democracy Voucher contributions possible to her Primary Election and is still collecting for the General Election. Democracy vouchers are literal proof of the people's support in Seattle. Her ability to inspire and activate every-day residents means volunteers all over Seattle the last couple of months. Which paid off in a landslide Primary win with more than 50% of the vote. We’re committed to helping her to win the General too!

Girmay has the lived experiences and professional experience to make King County a better place to live for all. Girmay and his family fled Sudan as refugees to South King County where countless resources and opportunities allowed them to settle and succeed. After graduating from Stanford and UPenn Law, he worked for the Obama Administration as a counsel. He now runs his own non-profit and serves as a member of the King County Council.
His track record speaks for itself. He's gotten concrete benefits for his community as their King County Council representative including funding for community centers and programs. He also lead the effort to open 5 new Crisis Centers in South King County, making community safety and well-being his priority. Girmay emerges as the next generation of local government leaders that centers people in their plans. Girmay is focused on impact and service in his leadership. He believes that government should deliver results for their people and so do we.

As the current mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka hasn’t just spoken out against the corruption of the Trump Administration—he’s taken action.
From standing firm against federal overreach to openly opposing the inhumane actions of ICE (even being detained himself in protest), he shows what real resistance looks like.
Ras Baraka came in 2nd in the democratic primary, blowing away expectations. He’s not done and we’ll be back to support him in his next endeavors.

Deja Foxx is able to break through the noise and engage a new generation of voters that are coming into their political power, something that few others have been able to achieve. She is not afraid to criticize the Democrats to push for a stronger party that actually fights against the Trump administration.
Deja came in 2nd in the Special Election Primary. Though she did not win the nomination, she showed the Democratic party and young voters a new way to do politics. We are proud to have supported her and will be watching her future efforts.
