We’re supporting Justin Pearson because this race is about far more than a single election, it’s about the moral fight for representation, democracy, and who gets a voice in this country. Pearson has become a national symbol of a new generation willing to confront political power directly, whether that meant demanding action on gun violence or standing against efforts to silence Black communities in Tennessee.

Now, after Tennessee Republicans moved to dismantle and divide Memphis’ historically Black and Democratic 9th district, this campaign has become part of a larger national battle over racial gerrymandering and voter representation. We’re heading to Tennessee to support a movement that believes democracy should belong to the people, not just those already holding power.
