Common Powered Hubs take political action at both the local and national levels. In their communities, Hubs lead efforts like voter registration drives, ballot initiatives, deep canvassing, and local protests. And when national elections approach, these same volunteers mobilize in key battleground states, knocking on doors and engaging voters in meaningful, face-to-face conversations that drive impact.
Southern California was one of the first stops on our journey to build Hubs. But with such a vast and diverse region, we didn’t settle on just one location—we launched two!
Hollywood operates on a broader scale, engaging communities across Greater Los Angeles.
South Bay is more localized, with a strong presence in the Torrance area
Each location organizes its events tailored to local needs and interests. Collaboration is common in the SoCal Hub! Both locations often team up for major initiatives and larger-scale events.
Joining one location doesn’t limit your involvement, you’re always welcome to participate in activities across both!

DTLA No Kings
Join the Common Power SoCal Hub as we show up together at NO Kings in Downtown LA. We’re coming out in solidarity to reject authoritarian politics and stand up for democracy, equality, and people-powered leadership.
We’ll gather for lunch, sign-making, merch and then march over together! Validated parking will be available and we’re open for any and all to join. Bring a friend and let’s show up together.

SoCal Hub: Whistle Factory
Whistles are instant alerts that help warn and protect our neighbors. Faster than social media, they bring the community together in real time to witness, support, and deter harm.
Join the SoCal Hub at All Seasons Brewery in LA in building ICE watch whistle kits and creating a rapid response network. Supplies will be provided!
