Common Powered Hubs take political action at both the local and national levels. In their communities, Hubs lead efforts like voter registration drives, ballot initiatives, deep canvassing, and local protests. And when national elections approach, these same volunteers mobilize in key battleground states, knocking on doors and engaging voters in meaningful, face-to-face conversations that drive impact.
Southern California was one of the first stops on our journey to build Hubs. But with such a vast and diverse region, we didn’t settle on just one location—we launched two!
Hollywood operates on a broader scale, engaging communities across Greater Los Angeles.
South Bay is more localized, with a strong presence in the Torrance area
Each location organizes its events tailored to local needs and interests. Collaboration is common in the SoCal Hub! Both locations often team up for major initiatives and larger-scale events.
Joining one location doesn’t limit your involvement, you’re always welcome to participate in activities across both!

Meet your team before we hit Bakersfield together. This optional virtual hangout is a chance to connect with the people you'll be organizing alongside, break the ice, and build the kind of rapport that makes long days of canvassing actually fun. No agenda—just us getting to know each other, sharing what brought us here, and getting hyped for October 7-12.

Team California Canvassing Shifts for Labor Day Weekend
Join us in Bakersfield, CA to door-knock on behalf of Randy Villegas for Congress during Labor Day weekend (9/5-9/7)! We're running a casual canvassing operation while enjoying the holiday as a team—morning shift 9AM-1PM, midday break, then evening shift 4PM-7PM.

Team California Doorknocking Trip
Join us in Bakersfield, California for Randy Villegas on October 7-12! This get-out-the-vote effort will have us talking to voters directly ahead of the November 3 General Election. Team California is supporting Randy Villegas in his bid for US House seat, CA-22, which includes Bakersfield and parts of Kings and Tulare counties. We're working to send a true progressive to Congress by doorknocking across this majority-Latino district and making sure their voices shape the outcome.
