John Lewis Voter Advancement Day
On May 8th Common Power joined a nationwide effort to bring attention to voting rights in the form of HR1/S1 For the People Act and HR4 John Lewis Rights Advancement Act, and our community came together to host the Seattle event that included CPers at various intersections around Seattle and over 30 cars driving through our area. We complemented this with a strong social media effort and a virtual community zoom with special guest Bob Zellner.

Access to Safe Voting During the Pandemic
During the start of the pandemic we advocated for states across the nation to expand mail-in voting access through expansion of absentee voting, or (2) expanding in-person early voting, a move that ensures access for disenfranchised communities which often feel most confident voting in person. We began this work in late March with 27 states of focus, and have had 23 significant successes so far.
