Common Power will be working with the Graham Platner for Maine Campaign, knocking on doors in Bangor to encourage citizens to participate in the Primary and vote. The winner of this primary will oppose Susan Collins, the five-term Republican US Senator, in this fall's general election. This race is critical to the Democrats’ efforts to regain control of the US Senate.

Graham Platner

Platner is a 41-year-old military veteran, oyster farmer, and harbormaster from Sullivan, Maine. He is a model for how we can hold our elected officials accountable. He directly faces his mistakes in the past and publicly apologizes with commitment to move forward. All the while having strong economic policies for the working class and taking down the oligarchy that’s at the root of our issues. He's breaking through to voters across party lines and those who have disengaged from voting.

He will be facing Janet Mills, the 78-year-old current governor of Maine, in this spring's democratic primary.
