Political demagogues are unfortunately not new in American politics, but Donald Trump is the first to become U.S. President. And now he has done it twice. With Trump in this position and joined by an aligned national Republican Party, the harm to minoritized populations, rational debate, ethical government, the nation, and the world is devastating. In these lectures, I will trace the people and practices that paved the way for Trump, Trump's specific tactics, and why "politics as usual" is not going to save us.
