A National Teach-In Honoring Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley

Sunday, November 23, 1 to 5 pm ET // 10 am to 2 pm PT

Seventy years ago, the murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till in Mississippi brought tragedy and heartbreak for many, especially his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley. Her response to show the nation what Southern whites did to her son showed America what truth and purpose must look like if we are to ever become a nation of liberty and justice for all. Today, in America 2025, our determination to uphold truth and to live with purpose must be the work of us all. On November 23, the birthday of Mamie Till-Mobley, we honor, commemorate, and carry forward Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley in a four-hour teach-in live via Zoom from Money, Sumner, and Drew MS. Please join us for learning, inspiration, and a call to democratic action. This event will conclude with an announcement by the Emmett Till Interpretive Center of national impact about Truth and Purpose in America in 2025.

Hosted by the Emmett Till Interpretive Center and The Institute for Common Power
