NYC Black Resilience Walking Tour

  • COMMON POWER 100 Wall Street New York, NY, 10005 United States (map)

Join us for a powerful walking tour uncovering NYC’s often untold stories of Black resilience, achievement, and resistance. This guided mini-learning journey highlights the city’s deep connections to African American history—from the Wall Street Slave Market Marker to the solemn grounds of the African Burial Ground National Monument.

Led by an Educator Ambassador from The Institute for Common Power, this experience connects the past to the present, showing how Black New Yorkers have profoundly shaped both the city and the nation. Beyond learning, we’ll take the next step together: turning history into action by canvassing for a more progressive and inclusive future with NYC’s next mayor.
