How the Democrats COULD win in 2022: The Key Messages

  • COMMON POWER PO Box 51125 Seattle, WA 98115 United States (map)

This is one in a series of public conversations and lectures -- to be done roughly every other month until Election Day -- exploring how the Democratic Party COULD win the midterm congressional elections in 2022. To be clear, such an outcome is very, very unlikely. But just possibly, if Covid gets better and the Dems make some good choices and the Republicans don’t and then a bunch of other things line up, just maybe the Democrats could hold the US Senate and US House. This series will explore a collection of political dynamics that could offer some hope for the Democrats this year. This specific conversation will focus on the arguments, claims, and accusations -- both true and untrue -- that will define the 2022 political landscape. We'll consider what is coming and how to respond and be proactive.

Spoiler alert: it's not gonna be pretty.

Speakers:

Jamie Wheeler, Director of Fieldwork and Advocacy @ Common Power, and David Domke, Professor @ Common Power
