Final Info Session: Texas Learning Tour

  • COMMON POWER PO Box 51125 Seattle, WA 98115 United States (map)

This Common Power 2022 learning tour in Texas will (a) examine varied aspects of the state’s history and how scholars, activists, and others are ensuring that historical truths are taught and preserved, and (b) teach us about our own power to create a more inclusive democracy by saving voting rights and preserving the truth.  Texas is one of the 7 core Common Power states of long-term investment, and with this learning tour, we seek to further understand the past in order to better shape our future.

This learning tour will be led by AJ Musewe, Dr. Terry Scott, the CP We the People Public Scholar Fellow, and David Domke.  Civil rights hero Bob Zellner will join us for the entire trip. Dates for travel will be February 17 through February 22.

David, AJ, and Dr. Scott will host information sessions on this https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85881173001.  The sessions will cover information about learning tour goals, itinerary, costs, and preparation.  There will also be a question and answer session.
