  • COMMON POWER PO Box 51125 Seattle, WA 98115 United States (map)

2pm - 3:15pm — Play occurs

3:15pm - 4pm — CP Q&A occurs

Starting in mid-January, the Seattle Repertory Theatre will be performing a main stage play about Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer, an American hero revered by Common Power in the fight for voting justice. This one-woman play is authored by renown playwright Cheryl West. On Saturday, Jan 22, the Theatre is holding a 2 pm matinee, and after this showing there will be a public Q & A with Bob, who knew Mrs. Hamer well. This CP Q&A will occur from 3:15pm - 4:00pm immediately following the play in the Rotunda area.

We encourage CP community members – if the Covid protocols in place can work for you – to join CP leaders at the Repertory Theatre this day. It will be educational, inspirational, and solidifying. Details are below for the play and ticket purchases.

Thank you to CP community members and Seattle Rep Board members Terri Olson Miller, John Keegan, and Winky Hussey for making this happen!
