We are going to hold a “CP Impact” conversation on Zoom: a dive into the work we’ve done in Florida from 2018 to today. It is a strong example of why we are in the fight for voting justice for the long run. In 2018 we (a) registered voters, (b) mobilized voters, and (c) helped to pass Amendment 4, which restored voting rights to all citizens formerly incarcerated. Since then, Republican officials in the state have sought to force all formerly incarcerated citizens to pay all legal fees if they wish to vote. A federal court recently ruled these restrictions to be unconstitutional.
