CA BALLOT INITIATIVE TRIP
Redistricting is the first and biggest move from the Democrats to show people that we are fighting back. This measure must pass on the November ballot, and we will be doorknocking in Anaheim Hills to make it happen.
Travel Dates: October 10th - 15th

The Election Rigging Response Act
Republicans in states like Texas and Missouri are aggressively redrawing congressional maps to lock in power, regardless of how people actually vote. In Texas alone, the GOP’s new map could hand them five extra House seats, despite no increase in voter support. These are blatant acts of election rigging, designed to distort representation and cement control of Congress during Donald Trump’s second term.
California is fighting back. In response, Governor Gavin Newsom and Democratic leaders introduced Proposition 50, the Election Rigging Response Act, which would temporarily override the state’s independent redistricting commission to adopt a new map that reflects population shifts and offsets Republican gerrymandering in other states. This is not about partisanship, it’s about protecting the principle of one person, one vote and making sure voters pick their leaders, not the other way around.
But Prop 50 won’t pass on its own. It’s up to us to get out the vote, especially in critical battlegrounds like Orange County. That’s why we’re organizing volunteers to knock doors, talk to neighbors, and make sure voters understand what’s at stake in the November 4, 2025 election.
We’ll be knocking on doors in Orange County to encourage citizens to vote and pass Prop 50. Learn more about our work in California in the State Overview Document below.

Take local action with the LA Hub
Common Powered Hubs take political action at both the local and national levels. In their communities, Hubs lead efforts like voter registration drives, ballot initiatives, deep canvassing, and local protests. And when national elections approach, these same volunteers mobilize in key battleground states, knocking on doors and engaging voters in meaningful, face-to-face conversations that drive impact.
