Leslie is a senior at Gonzaga University, where she will attain her bachelor’s in Political Science and minors in Communications and Critical Race and Ethnic Studies. Leslie became involved in civics through her previous job at Wear Law Office where she worked for three years. The law office helped others attain Social Security Disability and Leslie was the only Spanish-speaking staff member in her office. Through her involvement at Wear Law Office and as a daughter of immigrants, Leslie has seen the importance of voting and protecting marginalized communities.

Leslie began working with Common Power in the summer of 2023 through Action Academy. Since graduating from the program Leslie has been a team lead in her hometown of Spokane, WA, has been on one fieldwork trip, and has attended the Truth and Purpose Learning Tour. Most recently, Leslie has joined Financial Operations and the Fieldwork Team as she transitions into her post-graduate life.
