  • COMMON POWER PO Box 51125 Seattle, WA 98115 United States (map)

We are confronted today in America by an attack on truth in education. The Institute for Common Power cannot and will not idly watch.

Speakers: Dr. David Domke, Institute for Common Power; Dr. Terry Anne Scott, Director, Institute for Common Power; and Dr. Michael Butler, Professor, Flagler College

Event Date: March 20

Event Starting Time: 5 pm PDT

Location: Online Via Zoom OR In person 1525 11th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122

The Institute’s Truth Matters Initiative is committed to teaching truth, to countering those who are trying to silence it, to supporting educators who stand for truth, and to partnering with organizations and leaders who are committed to combating efforts to erase truth from existence.

The attack by political conservatives on accurate education about American history, especially on matters of race and voting, is at DefCon 1. Florida is ground zero for this assault on truth. There’s textbook censorship, School Board meetings disrupted, the “Don’t Say Gay” law, Civil Rights history canceled, and an Orwellian state “Civics Literacy Excellence Initiative.” Institute for Common Power Director Terry Anne Scott will discuss her plans for a public lecture in St. Augustine FL on lynching and leisure.
