The Biden + Harris campaign pulled off an unexpected victory in the state of Georgia. Democratic presidential candidates had not won there since 1992. And then they survived through two recounts and tremendous pressure from the White House. How did Biden and Harris do it, and what lessons can we learn from their success that informs our understanding of the underway US Senate run-off elections? Control of the Senate is at stake, and we also can gain a great deal of insight about larger patterns in American politics. Note: this lecture series will be 80% a repeat of the same series David delivered in November, 20% updated and new on the legal challenges and voter-suppression laws. Lectures both (a) will occur live at 5 pm PST on Dec 28 and Dec 29 via Zoom, and (b) will be recorded for everyone to watch on your own timing. Registrants will receive viewing instructions one day in advance of each lecture and then one hour before each lecture. There are five levels of registration for these lectures, starting at FREE and working their way up (the content is the same across the levels; the different price points are merely for you to pick the one you wish!).
